MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of kula-kamala-yoga is to provide an authentic but progressive yoga teacher training program that is affordable, unique, comprehensive, life-affirming and embraced by the system of higher education. The kula-kamala-yoga teacher training program seeks to provide each participant with a robust foundation to teach the process of yoga skillfully, with compassion, safety, and integrity.
Our program:
- is open to dedicated students and aspiring and existing teachers of yoga.
- focuses on healing integration of body, mind and spirit
while honoring each individual’s voice and style.
- includes mentored teaching of public classes
- provides the opportunity to observe and assist in actual
therapy sessions with Trish and Sharon.
- includes optional yoga therapy internship at one of our partnering healthcare facilities
(only those successfully completing the kula-kamala-yoga YTT program may apply for the kula-kamala-yoga yoga therapy internship program)

TTs will acquire an understanding of:
Yoga as spirituality

Class formats covered will include: gentle, basic/beginner, mixed, chair, and therapeutics
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Complete required number of hours.
Complete all required readings and homework.
Complete book reports & bibliographies as assigned.
Complete a research paper (5-10 pages).
Maintain a home practice and a journal on that practice.
Sequence & practice teach at least 1 one-hour yoga class during training.
Participate in all aspects of training (unless medically excused).
Complete a practical examination.
Complete all quizzes and a final exam.
As an apprentice teach 3 public classes at kula-kamala-yoga yoga studio.
All quizzes and exams must be taken & passed and all required hours completed
in order to receive your Certificate of Completion.
