NewPracticeSeries – BEGINNER. If you have never taken a yoga class or have very little experience with yoga or would simply like to brush up on your technique this series is perfect for you. In the NewPractice class you will explore standing, seated, twisting, folding and back bending postures including the sun salutation. You will become familiar with sanskrit terms, as well as yogic breathing, meditation and alignment while learning of the health benefits derived from a regular yoga practice (abhyasa). Self-acceptance, compassion and a willingness to open to and embrace the light that dwells within are emphasized.
Jnana-Hatha-Blend- BEGINNER/ALL LEVELS OF PRACTICE. This class blends a gentle/moderate practice with a unique study component. Students delve deeper into the essence of yoga through chanting, meditation, asana, and philosophy. We explore the teaching of the great sages, the yoga sutra, chakra, guna, and other aspects of yoga philosophy.
YogaBasics – BEGINNER/ALL LEVELS OF PRACTICE. Step up to the Basics - This is where you continue to build the foundations of your asana (yoga pose) practice in a safe and compassionately attended environment. Flexibility, strength and balance are emphasized, as are alignment, sequence, quietude, and breath work. New yogis should attend 8 to 10 Yoga Basics classes before moving on to the more vigorous practices offered at our studio. This class is also appropriate for more experienced yogis who would like a gentler class or a re-visit with the fundamental principles of yoga.
TranquilYogi/GentleYoga – GENTLE. ALL LEVELS OF PRACTICE. A very gentle and introspective class suitable for yogis seeking an inner experience that is accented by a dose of quietude. The use of props is encouraged.
BuddhaLite – GENTLE to MODERATE/ALL LEVELS OF PRACTICE. Need a quick fix? This class is a sure bet and a great way to spend your lunch hour as you take a break from the business of the day to reconcile, rejuvenate and re-embrace your elegant nature!
Yin/HipOpeners – GENTLE/MODERATE. Yin provides practitioners the opportunity to delve deeply into the abundant stillness and repose of select postures as they are held for three to five minutes to maximize benefit. Hip openers are emphasized in this practice.
Yin-Vinyasa – MODERATE/ALL LEVELS OF PRACTICE. This class is all about balancing energies in your practice as you first open the body thru a series of yin postures which is followed by a more fluid and stimulating vinyasa flow. This class focuses on aligning the male and female energies creating harmony and a sense of joy in practice. Some yoga experience is suggested.
ShaktiFlow – ACTIVE. Allow
yourself to play joyously in this dance with the Universe as you
embrace vibrancy and vitality while moving with uplifting energy
through this powerful vinyasa based practice. Movement and breath are
linked and alignment is fortified. This is a strong class and is
perfect for yogis with an established practice.
Mixed - MODERATE/ADVANCING The level of difficulty of this class will be based on the yogis who attend. This class will combine the basic principles of yoga, proper breathing technique and exploration of more challenging asana when appropriate. We encourage safe limitations for all our students. A basic foundational practice is suggested. This class would not be appropriate for absolute beginners - some knowledge of fundamentals is suggested.
Chant & Meditation - ALL LEVELS. This is a 30 minute class that begins with chanting mantra and ends in meditation. No asana are practiced during this class. Chairs are available if floor sitting is an issue. $5 donation.
Mommy/Daddy & Me - This is a great class for mommy or daddy & 'me' (ages 3-5 or
thereabouts) filled with fun, games, light and laughter. Build
communication and grow smiles with Amanda every Friday at 10am. Drop in
$12 or purchase a five pack for $55 (5 class packs are sequential with no make-ups). Share the beautiful gift of yoga with your children. Give them the gift of joy.
KulaKids Yoga Kids - KulaKids Kids Yoga includes creative games, music, and stories, traditional stretching, kid's yoga poses, focused breathing. and meditation Yoga will help children to slow down, focus their minds, and allow beautiful & creative thoughts to flourish in a safe and compassionate environment. Drop in

FREE YOGA - One Friday evening each month kula-kamala-yoga yoga studio hosts free yoga from 6:00-7:00 pm. This class is limited to 18 participants and all new participants must complete a registration and waiver.
FREE MEDITATION - One Friday each month the studio hosts a free meditation session from 6:00-7:30pm. This class is limited to 20 participants and all new participants must complete a registration and waiver. If arriving late or leaving early please do so silently. During each session the instructor reads a section of the Bhagavad Gita and participants engage in a discussion following the meditation. There is guidance by the instructor during the meditation and discussion.
PARTNER YOGA - Yoga offers a world of benefits, including deeper breathing, enhanced balance and truer happiness. Partner yoga provides the opportunity to build stronger communication skills and enhances bonding and trust. Perfect for couples, friends, family, anyone with an open heart.
